How to Setup a “Event” Space in SureDash
The Event Space in SureDash lets you organize and showcase upcoming or past events directly inside your community portal. This helps your members stay informed and engaged with what’s happening next.
Follow the steps below to create and customize an Event Space:
- Go to your Portal Dashboard and under the Space Group, click on the + Add New Space button.
- Enter the Event Space Name, select a Space Icon, choose Space Content Type: Event, and click Create Space.
- On the Event Space edit page, click on + Add Event.
- In the pop-up window, enter the Event Title.
- Select the Event Status (Published or Draft) and click Continue.
- The new Event will now appear under the Events list.
- Publish the Event Space before moving further.
- Click on the pencil icon beside the Event to open the edit page.
- Enter the Event details as needed:
- Event Date
- Start Time
- Timezone
- Event Duration
- RSVP Link
- Event Joining Link
- Recorded Video URL
- Featured Image
- Once done, click Save Changes.
- To return to the Events list, click the Back icon.
- On the Event Space edit page, you can also manage and customize:
- Space Description
- Thumbnail Image
- Banner Image
- Container Width
- Content Layout Style
- Pinned Post (Only one post can be pinned at a time)
- Use the toggle buttons to manage additional space options:
- Enable Like Button
Enable the like button for this space. - Enable Share Button
Enable the share button for this space. - Make the Space Hidden
Hidden spaces are excluded from the frontend side navigation.
- Enable Like Button
That’s it!
You’ve successfully set up your Event Space in SureDash. You can now start creating and managing events to keep your community informed and connected.
