Gamification Badges in SureDash

Badges help you make your community more engaging by letting you reward members for their achievements or contributions. With the SureDash 1.5.0 release, you can now create badges and assign them to users directly inside your dashboard.

This guide explains how to set up badges and how Portal Managers can manage them for users.

Creating Badges

The Badges section lets you create custom rewards for your community. You can add as many badges as you need and choose an icon or emoji that best represents the achievement. Once created, these badges become available for Portal Managers to assign to users.

You can follow these steps to Create Badges

  • Go to SureDash in your WordPress dashboard.
  • Open Settings.
  • Under the Gamification tab.
  • Choose Badges.
  • Click + Add Badge.

  • Add a Badge Name.
  • Choose an icon or emoji for the badge by clicking the icon.

  • Click on the pencil icon to Edit Badge
    • Here you can manage the:
    • Icon Visibility: Visible or Hidden
    • Modify the Color and Background
    • SureMembers Integration:
      • Choose the Access Groups to which this badge will be assigned when the user gets access.
  • Return to Save your changes on the Badges page.

Your new badge will now be available for Portal Managers to assign to users.

Assigning Badges to Users

Portal Managers can assign badges to users whenever they want to highlight an achievement. This helps you appreciate active members and encourage more participation across your community.

You can follow these steps to Assign Badges

  1. Go to SureDash > Open Users.
  2. Select the user you want to update.
  3. Click + Add Badges.
  4. Choose the badges you want to assign to the user/Admins/Portal Manager.

The selected badges will appear on the user’s profile right away.

Rearranging Badges

Rearranging badges allows you to control the order in which badges appear on a user’s profile. This can be helpful if you want to highlight certain badges or group them in a particular way.

You can follow these steps to Rearrange Badges

  1. Open the user’s page where badges are assigned.
  2. Drag and drop the badges into the order you prefer.
  3. Save your changes.
