How to Set up Presto Player with SureDash
Presto Player is a powerful video player plugin that lets you host, customize, and control how videos appear on your website. When used with SureDash, you can create engaging learning experiences, tutorials, or onboarding flows using videos and playlists, right inside your Spaces.
This document walks you through how to add single videos or playlists from Presto Player into your SureDash Spaces using simple shortcodes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure the following are in place:
- Presto Player is installed and activated on your WordPress website.
- Your videos or playlists are already added inside Presto Player.
- You have access to your SureDash dashboard and permission to create or edit Spaces.
How to Add a Single Video from Presto Player to SureDash
To embed a single video in SureDash:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Presto Player → Videos.
- Choose the video you want to use and click Copy Shortcode (e.g.,
).
- Go to SureDash → Spaces.
- Open the existing Space where you want the video, or click the plus icon (+) to create a new one.
- In the content editor:
- If using the Block Editor, add a Shortcode block and paste the shortcode.
- If using the Classic/Text Editor, paste the shortcode directly into the content area.
- Click Publish or Update.
Your video will now appear inside the selected SureDash Space.
How to Add a Playlist from Presto Player to SureDash
To embed a playlist in SureDash:
- Go to Presto Player → Playlists from your WordPress dashboard.
- Create a new playlist or edit an existing one.
- Click Copy Shortcode (e.g.,
).
- Open the Space in SureDash where you want to display the playlist.
- Paste the shortcode into the content area using a Shortcode block or the Text Editor.
- Click Publish or Update.
Your playlist will now be displayed in that Space, making it easy for users to watch multiple videos in sequence.
Customize the Video or Playlist Appearance
The look and behavior of your video or playlist—such as autoplay, skin, chapters, or captions—can be adjusted in the Presto Player settings.
SureDash will display the embedded video or playlist exactly as configured in Presto Player.
