What is a Link Space?

A Link Space in SureDash lets you connect users to any external webpage, article, video, documentation, or tool outside your SureDash dashboard. Instead of adding content manually, you simply add a link that takes users where you want them to go. It’s like adding a shortcut to another website, directly inside your dashboard.

Use Case Examples:

• Link to your product’s documentation hosted elsewhere.
• Redirect users to a YouTube tutorial or a blog post.
• Share an external resource like Google Forms or Calendly.
• Add links to tools or partner websites relevant to your users.

How to Create a Link Space

Follow these simple steps to add a Link Space:

1. Click on the “+ Add New Space” button in the Space Group where you want to create the link.
2. Enter a name for your Link Space (like “User Guide” or “Get Started”).
3. Select External Link as the Space Type.
4. Click on “Create Space” to go to the next screen.
5. On the next page:
   • Paste the link URL you want users to visit.
   • Choose whether the link should open in the same tab or a new tab (recommended for external sites).
   • Set the Space Status as either Draft (if you’re still working on it) or Published (if it’s ready to go live).
6. Finally, click on “Create Space” and you’re done!

Understanding Link Settings and User Experience

• Link URL: This is the web address (starting with https://) that users will be redirected to.
• Open in New Tab: Choose this if you want the external link to open in a separate tab. This keeps your SureDash dashboard open in the background.
• Frontend Display: Once published, the Link Space appears just like any other Space. When a user clicks it, they’re instantly taken to the URL you set, either in the same window or a new one, based on your setting.
